Cooking with Turmeric Paste – Just like ready-to-cook ginger or garlic in a jar.

Pure Food Essentials (PFE) Turmeric Paste is for cooking with whole turmeric. If you can get fresh turmeric, go for it, because fresh is always best. But don’t confuse PFE Turmeric Paste with Golden Paste which is made from powdered turmeric. Pure Food Essentials Turmeric Paste has been developed to make cooking with whole turmeric clean and easy.  It’s a fuss-free alternative to fresh turmeric, or a substitute for powdered turmeric. It’s just like garlic or ginger in a jar!

If you want the health benefits of cooking with whole turmeric, you need to include it in your regular diet. In tropical climates around the world, turmeric is part of a traditional diet, either fresh or powdered or pickled to ensure availability throughout the year.

The flavour of turmeric is earthy and lovely, but it shouldn’t star as the main ingredient. Small amounts consumed as part of your regular diet is certainly the most effective and sustainable way to get the health benefits of turmeric. Simply spoon it straight from the jar into your cooking.

You can add it to just about everything you cook! Sauces, casseroles, stews, curries, marinades, rubs, stir fries, slow cooking, savoury pie fillings. The sharp tones of the vinegar and citric acid cook off, leaving the distinctive earthiness of turmeric to infuse into the dish.

You can substitute Turmeric Paste in any recipe that calls for either fresh turmeric or turmeric powder. I recommend adding it to cooking in the beginning stages of your dish for the fullest flavour.
