Organic Rapadura Sugar
Rapadura sugar is evaporated cane juice. It’s a wholefood, and unlike granulated sugars, it’s the least refined form of cane sugar. Used around the world, it’s known also as jaggery, gur, panela and a multitude of other local names. Brown sugar has a molasses syrup re-added after bleaching and refining, but in Rapadura the rich molasses component is retained, giving it a natural golden colour and a deliciously caramel flavour.
Cooking with Rapadura
Rapadura adds a rich molasses flavour to your baking and sweetening your coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Try this delicious Pear, Blueberry and Ginger Crumble or take a leaf out of our book and use rapadura when making this Hot Chilli Jam.
