Fenugreek Sprouts

There is something really satisfying about feeding your family food you have prepared with your own hands. Sprouting seeds is so simple, quick and gratifying as you watch them grow! Fenugreek seeds are believed to aid digestive issues, improve sexual interest and promote lactation in breast feeding mums.

 

Ingredients

3 tbsps organic fenugreek seeds
Lots of filtered water

 

Method

Soak the seeds in filtered water for 8-12 hours. Drain off the soaked water and rinse the seeds thoroughly. Place them in a seed sprouter or in a large glass jar and place them in a cool dark position. Rinse and drain with filtered water every 8-12 hours.

On the third day move your sprouter or glass jar to a well lit location but not in direct sunlight. Continue to rinse and drain every 8-12 hours. 

Your sprouts will be ready to harvest in another 2-3 days when leaves are open and green.

 

NOTE:
You can harvest your sprouts at anytime. Some of us prefer shorter roots with a more delicate flavour. Taste your sprouts as they grow so you can find the flavour you prefer.
