Spicy Turmeric Latte

When it's too late for coffee, you have had too much tea and hot chocolate just doesn't feel right... This cup of golden goodness is guaranteed to hit the spot. A spicy blend of turmeric, cinnamon and ginger with a few other special ingredients to tempt the taste buds. Serves two.



2 tsps ground turmeric
2 tsps ground Ceylon cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
Small pinch of ground cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
Small pinch salt
1 cup coconut milk
1 1/3 cups filtered water
Extra nutmeg for garnish




Place dry ingredients in pot and add approxinately 2 tbsps on the filtered water. Mix to a smooth paste and add the remaining water and coconut milk and whisk to combine. Bring to the boil and remove from the heat and let stand for 2 minutes.

You are now ready to serve the Haldi Gold in your favourite cup or glass. Add honey to taste, sprinkle with nutmeg and sit back and enjoy.
