TGA Assurance on Pure Food Essentials

Turmeric Plus Oral Liquid

Some products, like turmeric, are both food and medicine. In its raw or powdered form, it is considered a food. The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) considers turmeric a medicine when the active ingredients are extracted, concentrated and marketed in a liquid form, with claims that it can be used to relieve the symptoms of inflammation.

Pure Food Essentials (PFE) have been in the business of turmeric for 20 years. In that time the health benefits of the active ingredient, curcumin, have become well known. Working with biochemists here in Australia, a therapeutic product has been developed. Turmeric Plus Oral Liquid has been through all of the stringent TGA assessments so you can be assured that it has been produced safely and marketed honestly.

Look for the TGA assurance codes on any ‘therapeutic’ products you purchase to be sure that they meet Australian standards. Lower risk medicines, such as vitamins or herbal supplements, have an AUST L number on the label.  The AUST L or AUST R number on your medicine package shows that the TGA has evaluated the product and it is on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG)
